Robert Juliat Appoints Dutco Tennant as Middle East Dealer

Robert Juliat has named Dutco Tennant its new Middle East dealer, Dutco Tennant; the two companies will exhibit at this year's PALME Middle East show in Dubai (27-29 April 2008).
One of the oldest business organizations in the United Arab Emirates, the Dutco Group of Companies was founded in 1947 by the late Yousuf Baker. Dutco Tennant is the group's principal trading operation.
George Puthenkulam, general manager of Dutco Tennant, has 18 years of experience, working for Glantre Engineering, Gearhouse, and ProMedia.
"Robert Juliat has long been recognized as pioneers in the lighting industry, and we are determined to bring as much extra value in our promotion of the Robert Juliat brand as possible," says Puthenkulam. "We want not only to supply the product, but to provide customers with the level of support that reflects the manufacturer's faith in the local market. We will be providing designs based on the products, supporting consultants, specifiers and end users, running training programmes and be available round the clock to provide a full, local service."
Robert Juliat is already a presence in the Middle East, with profiles and followspots in use at MTV Studio Vision, Future TV, LBC (Lebanon), Al Arabiya, Dubai TV, and Saudi 1 & 2. Venues and shows with Robert Juliat products include Heritage Vision, Mall Of The Emirates, Festival City, and the Robbie Williams 2006 concert.
Dutco Tennant aims to get Juliat products in the architecture market, too. "Exterior gobo projection using the Robert Juliat Quincy and D'Artagnan, and even the long-throw followspots, provide really crisp images and deliver the advertised message extremely clearly," says Puthenkulam. "Robert Juliat have such a broad and varied range of products that we are eager to promote them into every market in the region. Lighting technology does not change dramatically and it is important for our customers to invest in good products which will last a long time. We are very excited about our new alliance with Robert Juliat, which will enable us to bring such high standards to the region."
At PALME, the companies will show the Lancelot 4000W HTI image projector and the 1800W HMI Victor followspot, as well as a selection of profiles and fresnels.
"We feel these two products are especially suited to the Middle Eastern market because of their power and projection capability," says Robert Juliat's sales director, Lionel Garraud. "The Lancelot acts as a highquality, long-throw image projector with DMX controllable gobo and colorchanging abilities. This makes it ideal for exterior projection offering greater scope and creativity than a standard luminaire.
"The Victor is already making an impact in the followspot market, which is growing rapidly and is already successful for us. The wedding market is huge in this region and a fast developing area for our profiles and followspots. We are very happy to have Dutco Tennant as our distributor. Their philosophy and approach matches that of Robert Juliat in many ways and we have every confidence they are the right people to promote the Robert Juliat brand successfully across the Middle East."
